Welcome to IRMUNC!
The IRMUNC (Ironwood Ridge Model United Nations Conference) is an incredible conference for students to engage in the art of diplomacy and international relations. Here, we provide a space for students to learn about global issues, develop public speaking skills, and engage in critical thinking.

Ironwood Ridge hosts the IRMUNC, an annual model United Nations mock conference, with the goal of making each year's event better than the previous one. At Ironwood Ridge, we study the United Nations and its global impact. Our class simulates conferences to discuss real-world issues and brainstorm solutions from the perspective of different countries. Our club's membership has been increasing annually, and we are thrilled to see so many new faces join us. We regularly organize fundraisers to support our aim of attending a different conference each year. The class has become a beloved community on campus, and we deeply appreciate the support of everyone who has contributed.
This year, we are offering 7 different committees including the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL GA4), the John F Kennedy Assassination Committee, The future council UNEP, the Hunger Games crisis committee, the Security Council, the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and the SOCHUM committee. The protocol within councils will vary; SPECPOL, CSW, and the Security Council will run as a normal mock conference would. The other councils are left to the discretion of the dias. Throughout the session, each committee will concentrate on a major issue, aiming to propose solutions through papers. Our objective for this year's IRMUNC is for delegates to gain insight into the United Nations' approach to problems and to develop a better understanding of how to address and resolve issues.
